Project period:
Friday, September 14, 2001 to Wednesday, August 14, 2002
Description:

The basic goal of the project is to design and develop a reliable, sufficient and easy to use, Web navigation agent. The agent will be developed as an intelligent agent and will be able to provide clues, hints and advice to the users in order to improve their browsing habits according to their needs. Furthermore the intelligent agent will provide constant transparent web browsing/navigation surveillance, in order to assist the user, by executing network functions such as DNS pre-resolving, pre-fetching and others. The ultimate goal of the agent will be the reduction of web latency. The intelligent agent will be provided in the form of an integrated software package that can be installed on any web users computer. CTI/RU6 will be involved in both the design and implementation phases of the project.
